Happy Halloween!

What do you do on a gorgeous October afternoon right before Halloween? Well you dress your kids up and take their pictures :) I wanted my boys to wear these costumes for Halloween, but they had different plans. So I told them they had to at least wear them for pictures. And I'm so glad they did. We all had fun with this session. You can see them sneaking up on the elusive monkey. She escaped a few times, but they eventually caught her. You can tell by the last photo that she wasn't very happy about it.

Connor

Seriously, how cute is he!! I've done Connor's pictures quite a few times now. He is now a busy almost 2 year old. He kept me on the run and laughing the whole time. He had some of the greatest expressions. I just had to include at least one funny face picture. We were at grandpa's house and Connor lead me all over. We found some rocks so he couldn't run away :) Then I let him lead the way down a path through the woods. We finished with a giant lollipop and a "wheeler" ride. No I'm not above bribery! Christmas Sessions

I know, it's not even Halloween yet and I'm talking about Christmas! I am planning another day of Christmas sessions. It will be on Saturday, November 12. I'll begin sessions at 9:00 and go until we have everyone done. They will be 30 minute sessions where you will view your photos at that time and place your orders. I will again have a Christmas tree and fireplace area to use as a background. But I'm also adding another option this year. I will have a barnwood backdrop with some outdoor toys for a more casual option. There will be an old fashioned sled, skis and old skates. You can decide that day which background you would like to use. If I can get it ready soon, I'll try to get some samples of the new option online a head of time. O'Donovan Family

This session was a lot of fun for me. Not only was the day gorgeous, but I got to see my niece and nephew who I hadn't seen for a while (and their parents too!). We started out by the water and head back up the hill for some fun in the leaves. Will was so excited to have his picture taken. He had all kinds of great poses and ideas for me. I met with this family on a warm and gorgeous fall day. The light was awesome and it was so warm and sunny. Not exactly what you always expect for October in Minnesota. I've known this family for years. Mary used to coach the junior league bowlers when I worked at the bowling alley in junior high. I also was honored to photograph one of their daughters weddings.
