Special Portrait Sessions

I am excited to announce a special portrait session event. I will be scheduling mini-session that have a "Gone Fishing" theme. This idea started out a long time ago and turned into great Father's Day gifts for all the men in our family. I had so much fun with the photos of my boys, that I wanted to offer this special to my customers. I will begin scheduling sessions at 9:00 a.m. on July 24. I will take two sessions per hour. That way we should have plenty of time to get some great images. This will be similar to the Christmas event I have offered in the past. It will be $25 for the session and will include a 5x7 and wallet sheet of one image. Extra prints can be ordered separately. You will also have the option of purchasing all the images from your session on a CD. I do have the fishing poles, a straw hat, some old buckets and coke bottles. If you have other props you would like to use, please bring them along and we'll see what we can do.

If you have any specific questions I would love to hear from you. You can call me at 612-345-2854 or email me at karissa@karissaausmus.com.

Here are a few sample images from the session with my boys...

Easton, Gracie, & Mallory

I had a lot of fun taking pictures of these cute kiddos. They wanted to show me their whole yard. Luckily for me, most of the yard is great for pictures! Here are a few of my top picks. I had a really hard time choosing they just did such a great job. You can click on the images to see them larger.

Von Rueden Family

I met with this beautiful family on one of the only sunny days in the last couple weeks. And it's a good thing we did morning, because it was raining by the afternoon. We were at grandpa and grandma's house and they had all kinds of great places for us to try. I know they have been waiting to see these, so here are some of my favorites.

Blake & Britney

Not only are these two an adorable couple, but they are good friends of ours too. I had a great time doing this shoot. Britney had some great ideas and they were both open to all of mine. I'm really looking forward to their wedding too. My husband and oldest son are both part of the wedding party. Congratulations to both of you and I'm so excited for you. Here are a few of my favorites...

The reason for very few posts...

If you've noticed that I haven't posted much lately, I have a really WONDERFUL reason. We are expecting our third child in late November! While I was continuing to work, it was hard to stay motivated to blog, when what I really wanted to do was sleep. So, now that I am starting to have a little of my energy back, I figured I should explain my absence. It's a good thing that the "extreme fatigue" stage seems to have past, because we are coming up on the busiest part of the year. I hope continue shooting children's, families, and senior portraits throughout the summer and into the fall. I haven't taken many weddings for this year since it's hard to guarantee how I'll be feeling. I am in the process of determining the best way to offer my special Christmas sessions even though I would generally do them around my due date. I'll keep you posted on that! I am also working on a few other "Special Sessions" for this summer. As soon as I finalize the details, I will announce them. In the meantime, if you would like to schedule a session, I would love to hear from you! I should have an engagement session to post shortly and some fun family photos too!

Graduation Announcements

It's been forever, I know. Here are some samples of the graduation announcements that I did this past spring.
